I'm currently the Global Head of Applied AI/ML at JPMorgan Chase Technology, where I lead AI/ML initiatives across Corporate Technology for Financial Crime, Legal, and Resiliency. My work focuses on developing scalable, responsible AI strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.

With a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, I bring a unique combination of deep technical expertise and strategic business acumen. My career spans leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase, Manulife John Hancock, and the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii).

I'm passionate about making AI accessible and impactful. Beyond my corporate role, I serve on the board of Alphaplus, advancing equitable access to data-informed learning, and regularly speak at industry events on AI innovation, ethical AI, and real-world applications.

Background

My journey in AI and machine learning began during my doctoral research at the University of Alberta, where I worked on advanced data mining and anomaly detection techniques. This foundation led me to roles at IBM, the City of Edmonton, and eventually to leadership positions in the financial services sector.

At Manulife John Hancock, I served as Director of Data Science, building analytics capabilities that transformed customer intelligence and business operations. At JPMorgan Chase Wealth Management, I led Customer Intelligence and Optimization, developing AI-driven solutions that enhanced client experiences and business outcomes.

Today, I focus on responsible AI deployment at scale, ensuring that advanced technologies deliver real value while maintaining ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
